What Keeps Me Awake
Here’s a simple list of what keeps me awake as I mean tv series that put me in a good mood.
BOLD TYPE
The young and bold type are just like me. I am not their age anymore, but I can identify with the three cheeky girls. I love the positive vibe of their office work. It’s never about humiliation or sexist observations, it’s always about freedom and woman empowerment. My kind of life style and yes, it keeps me awake. I have discovered it based on some Insta Story and I quickly came to love it. It’s a Sex and the City of my style: younger, bolder and more actual. It’s as human and fashionable as Gilmore girls, less mean and expensive than the Gossip Girls.
BLACK LIST
That kind of thrilling action that keeps you watching hoping justice will be done. FBI agents keep following black listed people. There is no right or wrong, the list is relative if you come to think deeper into it. There are very few notorious actors. There’s always someone on the run. It’s not scary and the idea of looking for the bad guys is something that keeps everyone stuck to their couches/beds/armchairs and watch on. It kept me awake for a long time.
DINASTY
It’s catchy. It’s a small reminder of the old one. It was Dallas’s rival at the time, still with more class. Oil or not, this is the generation that makes money from various new means, but keeps the pumps going. Outfits are certainly something to look out for. It’s hilarious even when it’s supposed to be serious. Everytime someone dies, I feel like laughing.
GREENLEAF
It’s religion from a different perspective. It’s a catchy tv series. It’s another of what keeps me awake although I am not really attracted by the subject and the drama is far from my interest. It’s not fashionable, but suitable as I call it when people are all dressed up to go to different ceremonies. And I believe no religion is being hurt in the process. It’s a funny start off to present the work behind religion.
HOW TO GET AWAY WITH MURDER
This is the masterpiece that kept me up till it was over. I should have started my list of what keeps me awake with this very piece. It’s very catchy, it has good acting and perfect editing. Actually it’s the kind of tv series which is a complete puzzle for adults who want to stay put for a few days. I have to admit I started watching it while I was pregnant and it was easy. Then when I had the baby a new season came in, but it was more difficult to stay there and watch. It’s the tricky title that catches your attention, but the puzzled editing makes everyone keep watching.
SUITS
This one is perfect for watching something relaxing before falling sleep. It’s the kind of series that gives you the positive vibe. Yes, he made a mistake, but there is someone there to protect him or find the legal trick to save him. It’s always something about the suited guys and the stylish girls that makes you want to see who is marrying who. It’s bold, it’s got attitude and the wardrobe is amazing.
FAUDA
Here’s another one which made me watch because of the edit. It’s simply a masterpiece from the editor. The art direction, the script, the actors, there are all elements which fade totally. Until season 3 when you can see bigger bucks in the series. I guess it took them some time to have audience and there was little hope in the series winning such interest. The simple mix of Arab and Israeli cast makes the series even more exciting. Then there are a lot of cultural insights which gives a good impression to the public. And finally, despite the beer belly as we call it, everyone falls in love with Doron (Lior).
